Great Lakes Institute of Management is a premium MBA institute whose brand is making rapid strides. The institute’s flagship program PGPM - Post Graduate Program in Management is a one year full time program. This is a fairly elaborate and intensive program on the lines of ISB PGP. It is affiliated to Stuart Business School and Illinois Institute of Technology for its PGPM course.
It also has MoUs with premium universities like Yale, Illinois Institute of Technology and Nanyang Technological University to its credit.
The faculty is world class and includes professors from various b-schools/ universities such as Kellogg School of management, Carnegie-Mellon University, Stern School of Business, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Florida International University, University of Illinois, IIMA, IIMB and others.
Fees
Probably one of the key benefits of Great lakes is its fee structure. The total course fee (including tuition fees, course material, accommodation and food) is about Rs. 11,00,000 for the 2010-11 session. This is relatively less when compared to other premium 1 year programs in India.
Fees for international students (those with international passport) will be about USD 30,000.
Please note the savings in opportunity cost of 1 year if you are comparing this with 2 year MBA programs.
Eligibility
* GMAT/CAT score is required before applying to Great Lakes.
* Only 2008 and 2009 CAT scores were acceptable for PGPM 2010-2011. GMAT scores from 2007 onwards were considered. Similar trends are likely to follow for 2011-12 batch.
* Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution is a pre requisite.
* Desirable work experience: Minimum two years.
* Exceptional profiles with less than 2 years of workex may also be considered.

1. What are your short-term and long-term career goals? How will the one year education at Great Lakes Institute of Management help you achieve these goals?
