Georgetown McDonough Interview Preparation package
I was interviewed in Round 2 for batch entering in 2012. It was an adcom interview at a hotel in Chicago. It was a blind interview i.e. Interviewer has no access to my application. Most of the questions asked were standard MBA admissions interview questions:
1. Why MBA?
Me: I gave a well prepared response talking about my past professional experiences, my post MBA goals - short as well as long term and where does MBA fit in.
2. Why McDonough?
Me: My friend’s reference, good brand, interaction with student community ( through my campus visit), and good placements
3. What is your leadership style?
Me: I defined my style and supported that with an anecdote
4. Hobbies/ Extra currics?
Me: Talked about it
5. What is your biggest failure in life
Me: Gave a well-rehearsed answer. I was asked this in another interview as well.
6. Do you have any questions for us?
My interview stretched to 45 minutes but I think the campus visit and few related discussions helped me connect well with the interviewer.
